Done, I called it Chopin improv.

Very nice! Thank you for riskng your reputation, even for a short while. You're a good dare-taker.
I feel like your improv could have been worse, but even still somebody would have taken it seriously.

I'm up for another dare.
If you wanna modify something I've played lately or am working on, here's a few of them, in various stages of completeness-
Moonlight sonata - all mvts
Pathetique - first mvt
Liszt Un Sospiro
Beethoven/Singer 6th symphony mvts 1, 2, 3
Godowsky study 12A
Liszt Totentanz solo version - this one's kind of new and really slow
Gottschalk Souvenirs d'Andalousie
Gottschalk The Banjo

Not to brag, but it did turn out a bit better than I meant for it to. But still It wasn't good. I'll do it worse someday just for you!

Okay I have a really hard one for you.

Moonlight sonata 3rd movement with hands reversed. You can take that however you'd like. Just do not play it as written.
I have a few ideas of what you could do but I want to see what you do first!!!

Alright do me!

Name any piece, any section. I'll give it a whirl. I'll spend no more than 3 hours on this so keep that in mind.

After you've named the piece and section (I.e measure numbers or obvious things. Maybe a screenshot.) Then tell me what to do to it. I will give it my best try and post a video after some solid work.

Oh and if you could pick a piece I can easily find on the internet that would be best.

The Toccata from Carl Tausig's transcription of Bach's Toccata and Fugue in Dm. Just play it, it's the easy bit.  ;D

You know I have a weak spot for octaves <3 I can't wait! I'll learn it tomorrow. I probably won't have it at full tempo though sorry.
Also I will actually take more than 3 hours for it

I had that in mind. If this doesn't cure you of it, the fugue may.   ;D

All those and you chose moonlight sonata again??
Give me something else. I'm not refusing the dare, but I want that put off until I've done one or two non-27/2 dares.

Fair enough, alright this one will make your brain pop.
Play the pathetique with the right hand 25% faster than the left hand. Or the left hand 25% slower than the right hand. However you wanna do it. Just not 50% that would be too easy.

OR

Play totentanz changing to a different key every measure. You must hit 8 different keys before finishing the recording.

OR

The banjo backwords. Not your body backwords. Last note to first note. Or however far you want to go.

Is it okay if I cheat a little so that I can get it learned quicker. I just won't be 100% accurate or faithful to the score.

Actually this is my parents doing lol.

I'm away at school for several months so they think they can just throw whatever they want on there.
Oh ok...  :P then maybe I am the only one.  ::)  :P I really can't blame my parents for my messy room, it's just me (and maybe my pets a little bit too, specially my birdies)   :P

Another dare was posted to the improv section of audition room.
I also hope to post more dares as they are completed!

Not to change the subject, but...i've noticed that a lot of videos don't show up on

Yup, it's extremely annoying.
If you really wanna watch a video. Hot quote and copy the link out of their quote but don't post it.

Also J menz, I've hurt my right wrist so it will be a little longer than expected. But I'll have a video up soon. I promise.
I also like the piece so much that I've added it to a recital program!

Sorry to hear about the wrist, delay OK, glad to hear you like it.

If you're going to do it seriously, though, you have to do the fugue too.

Hmmm what's the most embarrassing thing you've done so far in life? Well, that you feel comfortable sharing.

Well, there are far too many to rank one as "the most," and some I would not dare tell hardly a soul!  But, here is one of the more tame, but still highly embarrassing at the time (others are actually still embarrassing for me when I even just think about them, even if it's been years).

When I was in high school, our entire English class plus another class or two went to the library for some reason that I cannot recall.  Everybody was to have a seat in a sea of chairs that formed some sort of audience, as though we were going to be read to or something.  There were not quite enough chairs, so I went to the back of the room and grabbed one, and started pushing it alongside the group and decided to push it as quickly as I could, sliding it along the carpet while I ran(?) behind it.  I was now pushing it behind some cubicle reading areas where the top half of my body was visible to the group of students on the other side.  I was alongside the group, pushing as fast as I could (for some unknown reason?), when the chair caught some part of the carpet and stopped dead in its tracks, sending me flying over it.  It was a giant sound, I hurt my shin, and from their view they would have seen the top half of my body scurrying along, then I just suddenly disappeared with a very large thud, and the entire room of people saw what happened.  I did not want to get up and wanted to stay hiding behind the partitions.  Can't recall what happened after that!

Someone play a piece with the left hand in one key and the right in another. But it cant be written in that way. Like choose a beethoven sonata, and swap keys.
