Predictions? August 14, 2014 - August 13, 2015

Oops.  I guess I forgot last year...  Continuing on...
https://www.pianostreet.com/smf/index.php?topic=50806.0

I'll still hold with my prediction of a mass shooting being broadcast live from the shooter, maybe with Google Glass.  People are going to be watching that from the shooter's perspective as it happens.

The usual hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, etc.

I predict.... Bernhard will make another post this year.

Hm... Gets tougher to predict the more I think about it.

I predict.... A major newscaster will die this year.  Barbara Walters.  I'll go with her.

The tough part is coming up with something surprising.  I was thinking someone on here will release a CD, but that's kind of obvious.

How about... Nils will have a kid or another kid.

Personally... I predict the new year will be better than 2014 and 2013.

Back in the prediction saddle for a new year. 8)

Did any predictions happen for last year?

The Bernhard prediction is a good one.  He logged in not long ago.

I have a prediction to share but will wait.

I'll go with Paul McCartney. He's looking pretty old.

There's going to be another pop music star or movie star who will go before the 'normal' time.  But that's kind of common.

The US stock market will crash sometime in early to mid 2015. This was a prediction I made in 2009 when studying the Elliot Waves formed by the Dow Jones, back when I still played the stock market.

Seriously though, if you have money in stocks in the US, get your money out now. We're about to have a stock bubble, a healthcare bubble, and a debt bubble all coincide at the same time.

Well, it has been a long time coming.

The particular type of Elliot wave responsible is called a supercycle, which lasts from one to several decades in length. According to the theory, the bull market is defined by line of best fit for a three rise and two fall system, whereas the bear market is defined by a two fall and one rise system.

The first rise and fall pair of the bull market occurred in 1987, when the housing bubble created collapsed. The second rise and fall pair of the bull mark happened in 1997, when the tech bubble collapsed. The final rise was the ascension from 1998-2005. As for the bear market, the first fall was in 2006, when both the housing and banking bubbles collapsed. The rise occurred afterwards, due to the creation of a stock bubble created by the bailout program.

The final fall of the bear market is due in 2015, by my estimates. Though I predicted this based solely on the progression of the Elliot wave, this is due to the fact that the stock bubble has been officially announced, the healthcare system will become increasingly unfeasible and impractical to support under Obamacare (which took a flawed system and broke it further), and the debt now has reached a point where it exceeds our GDP to the point where we cannot even pay off the interest, let alone the entire deficit.

These combined factors shall result in mass unemployment, electronic bank runs, hyperinflation, collapse of job sectors, and the rest of the components of a second Great Depression. In short, we're screwed and nothing can stop the collapse from happening.

That's probably due to less connection to the US economy.

I saw Ireland was top of the list for "goodness."

So chances are for the first-person shooter live video scenario, it would happen in the US.  If it was a knife, I'd guess Asia.

That's sort of a major newscaster... Red carpet 'news.'

*Bob is glad he started the new thread now, rather than waiting until September 18th or whenever it is.  Otherwise he would have missed this event.*
