Characteristics of various time signatures?

I'll start. You don't have to give a lis(z)t, but you should say at least one quality any time signature has to you.
I've found that cut time definitely has a "double bar" quality to it when used slowly.

This might be rather obvious, but 3/4 almost always feels dance-like to me, even when it's not used in dance genres.

What has always fascinated me is the completely different feel between 6/8 and 3/4 -- exactly the same number of eighth notes in each, and both very dance like, but oh so different!  also the differences between 3/4 when felt as 1 divided into three (think waltz) and felt as 3 (think minuet).
