on: January 30, 2015, 04:36:43 AM
Hello, I am new to this forum, though I have been reading for some time.

This is an original composition of mine, played by logic pro X, any criticism (good or bad) would be very appreciated

Hi  :),

Would love to hear how the piece sounds by your own hands!  MIDI playback kind of robs the composition of any pianism, expression, or dimension.  That being said I had a hard time latching on to a melody, despite the piece's name.  There's a lot of modulations and time signature changes, so the piece is lacking cohesion.  Work on the form so the listener knows "where they are".  Also you use a lot of dotted-sixteenth notes in succession.  If you are trying to achieve syncopation, try using tuplets instead.     Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the feedback! it's very appreciated :)
I agree with you, especially about the melody changes, that's what my piano teacher keeps telling me, as well, the doted 16th! I will change it then
I am going to play it in the little student concert at my university, it's just that I need to practice it for some time before I can actually play it :/
