For me, Bach's music works better without crack. This is a bit too erratic for me. The textures are not clearly presented. Her playing is well crafted from an attention-seeking point of view, but it is not well crafted.

I agree! Bach is much better on LSD.

So, haven't tried ice yet ;D

Jokes aside, I don't quite like Bach, an almost god-like figure to us musicians, being subject to such feeble, cheesy, superfluous and frivolous romanticism. The technique is quite fine, but I must say IMO the style and musical philosophy are surely foul, as all stones that build the great architectural structure in the music of JSB are presented in an incomprehensible, mud-like form, and nothing is left but the cement.

Not finished listening to them yet, but very impressed.

She has breathed new life into works that for me were becoming tired and stale with tons of performances that all sound the bloody same.

Top marks from me.

Ok, that's a wow, but the blur of notes only seems to work sometimes. For example at the very start, Prelude in C, this reimagining of the piece resembles the kind of sound a trundling train makes, and that can create an idea of an image in your head so I think "well, it is a bit avant garde and show in terms of speed with relatively simple arpeggio type ideas. But in other pieces I couldn't get any of it. It was just Bach at

It was like what modern art sometimes does to classic art from say the early renaissance period and they should have just left it well alone. Not for me ,anyway.

With the creativity and daring that is being cultivated by pianists such as this I am sure a new golden age of piano will begin.
Sometimes I can only groan and suffer and pour out my despair at the piano.
