And, as Schiff was quick to point out, Bart\u00f3k was also a New Yorker, moving there in the midst of World War II and living for a time on 57th Street &#8211; only a few blocks away from Carnegie Hall.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/search\/mediumvideo-blog425.php?yt_id=LoCBzfv_hsY&#038;autoplay=1\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"schiffcarn\"><strong>Andr\u00e1s Schiff: A Personal Insight Into Bart\u00f3k<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/search\/mediumvideo-blog425.php?yt_id=LoCBzfv_hsY&#038;autoplay=0\" name=\"schiffcarn\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"360\" width=\"435\">Your browser does not support iframes.<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Schiff reveals his longtime friendship with Iv\u00e1n Fischer, and discusses the importance of having Hungarian musicians perform the music of Bart\u00f3k <a href=\"\/search\/mediumvideo-blog425.php?yt_id=LlDeFYepUAk&#038;autoplay=1\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"schiffcarn\">in this video.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Among the many highlights of Schiff\u2019s series were performances of Bart\u00f3k\u2019s three piano concertos, a celebration of his musical heritage with Hungarian group Muzsik\u00e1s, the premiere of a Carnegie Hall commission by J\u00f6rg Widmann, and performances with the Salzburg Marionette Theater.
