It could be fake. This doesn't look like a social experiment video but a lot of those are faked. I wonder why the guy was recording himself making the call. Did he record and then decide to turn it into something else? Or was that the plan the whole time?
Actually, I wonder about the privacy laws on it, for recording another person without their awareness. I think that's illegal depending on the state, but he goes beyond that and turns a recording of her voice into a piece of music. That's what I was thinking about -- "Normal" phone conversation from her perspective, but then her voice, the phone content, is broadcast on the internet.
