Title: Pathetique Mvt 2
Post by: steve jones on October 26, 2005, 02:33:45 AM
Just had a look at the music for this piece. For a moment I was confused, but now I see that the melody line and accompaniment have been seperated for clarity. Im just a little unsure which had should be doing what?! ;D

Take the first bar for example:

RH plays main melodic line

LH plays bass

How is the inner voice distributed? Is that line played completely with the RH or are some notes intended for the LH?

As it is, Im assuming the inner line is RH in its entirity as it would be particularly tricky to play with the LH.

Thanks

The top and middle lines are played with the RH, the bottom line with the LH. I'll use the first bar as an example:

Play the C in the top line with RH-5, the Ab in the middle line with RH-3, and the Ab in the bottom line with LH-5. The next note E can be played with RH-1, then back on the Ab with RH3.... and so on and so forth.

I hope this makes things clearer :)
