Title: I want more Scriabin.

I have all of the preludes and etudes, and the only ones I've played are the Etudes Op.2 No.1, Op.8 No.11 (unfinished), and Prelude Op.11 No.15.

Where's a good place to start adding more of it to my rep? (besides finishing up 8-11, I mean.)

I'm specifically interested in the Preludes, because I've never heard them.

Read through the book, sounds like you have the Dover Complete Preludes and Etudes. Scriabin is somewhat difficult to sightread, but if you enjoy his music you'll have to start sometime! There are many fine recordings out there of his pieces, including such artists as Horowitz, Ashkenazy, Sofronitsky, Pletnev, Lympany, Richter, Bachauer, Szidon, B. Berman and many more. Google 'em on Amazon.com and other sites, or go to your local record store, and pick the ones you enjoy or seem doable. Enjoy, Scriabin's great!  :)

Most of the Opus 11 preludes are pretty accessible.  I'd read through those and pick out a couple.

I just remembered - the Opus 51, No. 2 prelude is not very difficult and lushly beautiful.

I suggest the poem Garlands. Sofronitsky's recording is good. The Op. 74 preludes are great, too.

Op.51 No.2 doesn't look bad at all. Thanks!

I'v now played Op.11 No.22 in G minor, in addition to No.15. What other Op.11 preludes are good to begin with?

And what are the most accessible of his etudes?
