Title: Chopin prelude no 1
Post by: acha114 on January 03, 2006, 09:00:47 AM
Does anyone have any tips on how to practice this piece? When looking at the score, there seem to be polyrhythms in both hands, or am I missing something.

Wish I did! I started looking at the score a while back, but quickly decided I wasnt ready.

But I would try to seperate the individual parts in my mind, even write them out seperately. The score can look very confusing in this piece, so maybe that would help Im not sure?

I have two ideas (which may or may not be good):

1. Learn polyrhytm and the other things separately.
2. Outline the piece. Just don't play "unnecessary" notes
