Hi folks,
Three questions:
1. Where have you guys found the best bargains on CDs?
2. Where have you found the best selections?
3. Where do you find your rare recordings?
I've tried used CD stores, and some have fairly good selections. On-line, one can find great selection, but the prices tend to be full-price (not including shipping and handling), and rarities are just that - rare to come by. With regards to specific labels, I've found Regis to offer exceptional prices for phenomenal recordings (like Nikolaeva's Melodiya version of the Shostakovich 24 P&Fs, Shost. string 4tets). Any tips to "beat the system", so-to-speak?
Thanks,
tph

I've had great success (at least at first) with the BMG "buy-one-get-twelve" deal. You cannot believe how cheap you can get cds this way. As far as selection, you can go fairly deep too.
Good luck. As long as you return their little form, it's quite easy.
