Title: moszkowsky - Caprice Espagnole op37
Post by: pianowelsh on September 21, 2006, 01:26:48 PM
Hi How many of you have played this fantasic little piece?? What are your impressions. How difficult do you find it?? Im considering learning it as an encore number. Would you say its comparable in difficulty to the more taxing etudes by Moszkowsky?? ::)

I saw Kissin use it as an encore - nothing short of spectacular! (That, after a jaw-dropping Petroushka  :o)

It looks at least as difficult as the etudes (Op. 72, anyway), but as I haven't seen the music I couldn't really say for sure. It's a wonderful encore piece, though, so if you feel a great desire to learn the piece, don't let anyone stop you.
