Title: An observation
Post by: rohansahai on March 21, 2007, 03:22:41 AM
I've returned to this forum after a long time .... but I come back seeing the same topics, the same discussions, same arguments, same conclusions albeit by different users.
Come on guys!

I come in here and try to relate the things I'm learning from my practice, share ideas and some BS...

My take on it, is that as the newer students of piano cover ground they're learning the same things every previous 'generation' has...  Then talking about it.  The topics I once read about take on a new interest as I begin to actually apply it.  There are always new faces asking questions, so I see nothing wrong with repeating my personal take on the time-worn topics with what bit of experience I have to work with...  It's a cycle.

...Or we could just link to old discussions, maybe reply to every question with 'do a search'.

True, we need to revolutionize 88street. Any ideas?

Nice to see you back, btw! How's piano treating you these days? :)

Yepp, just, posting the same things over and over again. Perhaps a few new interesting topics, but those die off quickly.

Oh, come on. Don't be so mean. It's like in music, the greatest topics become popular, are always rehashed and at the end turn into classic masterpieces.  ;D

I've found lots of itneresting discussions on here lately.  Anyways, 'tis better to post your own interesting topics, then complain about the repetitiveness of others'!

New group, same ideas.  I probably posted the same questions as someone here before me.  I can't blame anyone for doing the same.

I think after awhile, your big questions about piano either get answered or you realize the forum won't give you the answers and you move on.
