Post by: piano4me on April 11, 2007, 12:29:12 AM
I am looking for info on Boston pianos. I am looking into buying a new piano and am debating between a Schimmel or a Boston. What are people's opinions on this? Any help is appreciated!!

I had my check book out ready to buy a Boston. I chose a used August Forster instead. But, I did a lot of research and the Boston was by far the best of what I could find in my budget. Plus, my dealer had a policy that you could trade any time in 10 yrs for a steinway and get full purchase price on the Boston. Nice idea but, I could never afford a new stienway anyway so. I chose the Forster. It is a beautiful high quality piano that I will have for the rest of my piano playing days.

why did you decide to go with the August Forster then instead of the Boston? Is the Forster better quality, cheaper, what made you decide to go with that? Thanks for the comments! :)
