Title: Good movie soundtracks?
Post by: mycrabface on May 22, 2007, 06:02:38 AM
Does anybody know of any CD compilation of movie soundtracks (Instrumental)? I'm looking for songs like from star wars, lotr, superman, spiderman, to be more specific.

Danny Elfman is one of my favourite film music composers. He did spiderman and i put up in the Audition some stuff from his film "Sleepy Hollow". I had the privelge of singing solos and as part of the choir in Sleepy Hollow:

He is a very creative Film Composer.

I absolutely love the scores he did for Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas, they're just amazing.

Another favourite of mine is Yann Tiersen, the score for Amelie in particular. It's fantastic, full of accordion and piano that should really be too cheesily French but somehow isn't.

And the score Hans Zimmer did for Hannibal is great, too. It's got quite a lot of medieval/renaissance influence in it, it's very rich.
