Post by: amanfang on June 01, 2007, 03:33:15 AM
Does anyone know of a good book or something that discusses Prokofiev's piano works in some detail?

Yes. Yourself. Play his works and listen to this piano concertos.

You will find it much  more rewarding.

Sure grab the scores, but I think it is helpful to read more than the scores.  If you have a music library nearby, look in Diamond to see what articles you can spot, and by all mean get a few biographies.

THere are also a few recordings of Prokofiev himself, which are revealing, I think.

Hi. I  am new here, so hope I have this right. I wrote a dissertation on Prokoviev piano sonatas way back in time at Uni. Am wondering what sort of info you were after.  :-\
