I have been playing the piano for about 12 years. I started playing professionally at age 8. I excelled at everything with the piano, but did not have the greatest teacher. She never taught me much theory. Anyway, I say all that to let you know that I am good, but have a lot of things to work on, which I understand is a lot of pianist's problems. I am currently going to TAMU-Commerce and taking piano lessons from Dr. Fenia Chang (BA & MA Julliard Doct.-Maryland) She's a great performer but not that great of a teacher. She has told me that my fingers are "Weak & pathetic".
So I picked up a Hanon book and began working on it. I noticed that when I get up to 80 bps on ex. 1 my left hand starts going wild. Like it seems as if I forget what to do with it and just feel like a failure.
I can read just about anything put infront of me, so if you have any suggestions of what I might do, I would be greatly appreciative!!!!!!!!!!
If I've left anything out please let me know. Its early in the morning and I don't function well.
