Title: May I flatten my hands?
Post by: Pfreak on March 20, 2004, 02:23:20 PM
I am having a problem with the piece that i am currently working on. I am aware of the fact that flattening your hands is practally a sin, but my hands do cross, and unless i completely flatten my right hand in measure 7 and 8, my hands will crash, causing a severe uhhh....."meltdown".  I want to know your opinion on what to do here. :-/

I have provided a url so you can view the music.  This is completely free, you don't have to sign in to anything, etc.  But, unfortunately you must have adobe acrobat reader to view it.

Here is the link:

You may.

Flattening of the hands is a sin to whom?  Not to me and many others.  I haven't looked at the example but I don't need to.  You are allowed to do anything to get the job done.  Indeed, flattening the hands is preferable in many instances, examples of which have been discussed in other threads.
