Title: How to get someone's attention whom you KNOW is online!
Post by: thalberg on July 17, 2007, 03:48:13 AM
It's possible to go to the members list and see everyone who's online and what they're looking at.

So......say someone you want to talk to is online -- how do you get their attention to say, "hey, come to chat" or something?  There ought to be some way.

I think some other forums have a feature that pops up PM's if you're online... instead of just email PM's.  Kinda like the chat PM's here.

Just message them on their AIM, MSN or other instant messenger program if they have it up. Or just send a pm to them.

Come to think of it... doesn't a window popup when you navigate to any page on this forum if you have a pm?

If you have your options set up that way, yes.

Just go to your profile, then Personal Message Options, and click the box, but of course, not all users have this set up this way. :P
