Hi, I have a technics sx pr900, and there is one demo piece that I love, but for the life of me i cannot think of it's name. its is the piece under the title of "standard" on the demo list. Can anyone help?

I hate to be a pedant (OK, I take a certain perverse pleasure in it sometimes) but I don't think Technics makes pianos. They do quite a good line in synthesisers, though.

I think you missed my point.... they never _did_ make PIANOS.

What is the problem with people on this board? I have an electric piano. It is not a keyboard, it is a full size piano. It is also made by technics. Does anyone have any information regarding my question, or are you all just interested in picking apart my posts?

It's a synthesiser. A piano is a wooden box full of hammers and strings and stuff. Lots of us here who have spent years learning to play the thing are not entirely happy about it being confused with electronic instruments which can, at best, be very wonderful (as anyone who has ever listened to Django Bates on keyboards will attest) and can also be of some utility to pianists (for near-silent practice) but is not, when all's said and done, a piano. This is the rearguard against the creeping definition of what a piano actually is!

Whatever, i didn't actually start this thread for a debate as to what is and what is not a piano, or, for that matter, who makes whatever the hell it is. if anyone would care to answer my original question, by all means feel free, but the rest it just irritating.

This is strange since the word "piano" wasn't even used in the initial post  ;D. Can you post a rec?

So, wait a minute, his harpsichord plays piano rolls, is that what's going on?
