That's pretty random.
I will admit that I used to like the series and that the music was pretty damned good for a video game franchise. I really liked a lot of pieces in Final Fantasy X's soundtrack, which incorporated more electronica influences and complex instrumental settings with the usual orchestral instruments. The music is not revolutionary in any way, but it suits the game very well. I've thought the same about the previous games in the series, which certainly stood out amongst loads of forgettable game soundtracks.
I've really been enjoying the music in Metroid Prime (for Gamecube) lately, especially considering the detail in some of the sequencing. The music is very simple (sometimes comprised entirely of sporatic sounds and effects), like lots of IDM music, but it works exquisitely.

Which final fantasy, there are 13, counting X-2.
The music for X is really good, I havn't played any of the others though.

I went to watch a concert at the concerthall with the music featured in the games played by an orchestra. I think I was the oldest person there and Im only 30 :P. Was a great experience to see young people interested in music since the average age usually is ~45+ at concerthalls.
Personally I think its a great way to overcome barriers and make young people interested in classical music. (I know some of you dont agree :-*) Unfortunately the arrangers messed up since they promised everyone another concert of free choice, but the staff who were supposed to give out the tickets were unaware.
