I can only agree, especially since its a brassband who thinks 'the louder the better', i'll need at least a 15 meter grand if people want to hear me.

That would require a very very very skilled, and tolerant, pianist. Would be nice to see someone from here play it, heh.

Or maybe there are some Joplin arrangements? Could be done, especially if the piano and the band alternate instead of trying to play at the same time.

Checked it on youtube, and its something i definitely not would like, and the barbarians of that brassband even less :p

The balance really isnt an issue for a top notch brass band.. A championship brass band prides themself on their pianissimi! and rightly so - not all brass band music is loud and boisterous...go and sign yourselves up to hearing a really good brass band. Fortunately where I am (Wales) there are still many Excellent bands.
