Title: Contrasting Piece
Post by: bballpianist on July 18, 2008, 06:46:57 PM
Hey everyone. Right now I am playing Scherzo No. 2 in Bb Minor by Chopin. I need a contrasting piece to play along with it.

Any suggestions?

A Beethoven sonata? Or perhaps more percussive Prokofiev? The 3rd sonata maybe?

The Prokofiev Sonatas sound like a good contrasting piece. I've never played any Prokofiev, so do you know which sonata would be the best to start with?

As I mentionned, the third! Sonata no.3 ... or maybe the first one tough it's a bit different from the other ones.
