Hi everybody,
I am two days per week far from my piano :'( and I wondered if could keep on working on a piece even far from a piano ? The piece I am working on right now is the Nocturne Op.9 n°2 from Chopin...
Thanks !

It is perfectly possible, and ofetn very beneficial, to work on a piece away from the piano. Ofcourse there's not a lot you can do technically but you can think about all the musical aspects of the piece. Try singing the piece and even conducting, this will help to determine direction and shape of phrasing. Another thing you could try is visualization, try to imagine playing the piece and what you want it to sound like. Also you can think extensively about dynamics and articulation. Sometimes not having to worry about playing any notes can greatly help your understanding of a piece! :)

Have a look at these threads for some ideas on how to practise away from the piano:

This piece is very beautiful, good choice, and try to memorise and understand all the details and articulations that you could not notice or understand at simple reading. And singing too is a good idea as JK said, not only to memorize the piece, but purely to develop your earing skill, to make more easily pieces you ear!
