Title: Roland V-Piano
Post by: Derek on May 08, 2009, 03:06:27 AM
Anyone tried a V-Piano? From what I've read (and heard), I'm very impressed. Apparently it doesn't even use samples of a real piano, it's all generated from scratch with some advanced sound modeling software. It takes into account the hammer weight, the felt hardness, the material the strings are made out of, how many times the strings are wound with the material (I read about it supporting copper and even....silver!? strings)...how much the 3 string notes are in tune with one another, on and on and on.... it looks really impressive, and extremely fun to play with.

I assume that means 5,300 Euros.  Pretty expensive - but it IS a small miracle in digital pianos.  Worth every bit, it seems.
