This was my first performance of this beautiful piece 10/19/02! I placed it on my (click on WWW) page so everyone can hear it!!! :) :) I did the best I could, although the piano was old with poor action! :( ;) But my speed was faster than I thought I would play it!!

Very nicely done, if not totally flawless. Yes, do take ease on your tempo. This piece needs not be played too fast, otherwise it would sould rather hasty.
Hey have you ever thought of playing this piece with the more effective Busoni edition - especially in the ending part?
-
Yeah its beautiful if every note can be given its time to say out its name despite a fast tempo.
Nevertheless... its good... :)

this is very nice, but you people should listen to Yundi Li play this......... it's an amazing experience...

Too many technical inaccuraces and note omissions. Both of which were found in, not all, but a good amount of your recordings. Besides that....your interpretation of Rachmaninoff's Etude-Tableaux Op. 39 No. 8 was very well conveyed. La Campanella...i.m.o. at the speed you were playing only someone like Martha Argerich could bring out the musical tonality of the piece, and your pedaling is a little heavyh. It kinda sounds like you're only using one degree of the pedal - No pedal, or full pedal sustain.

Ah! You play the Winter Wind so energetically from beginning to end, I liked that one...a lot :D

Well, it took a long time to get any replies on this thread (almost a year and a half)! But I've just now listened to this performance. :)
