Any suggestions for pieces that are just downright fun to play??
Lately I find myself caught up in the "classical pianist" mindset where fun is left out, and I am looking for pieces that are fun. I prefer technical difficulty, so harder pieces rather then easy ones are more my style. Any time period.
Thank you suggestions are much appreciated.

Thank you, he sounds good but I meant more along the lines of beethoven, chopin, schumann, liszt, etc.. A good example I just picked up is prokofiev's third concerto.

Ravel: Toccata or Alborada

I have always found a lot of Gottschalk and Moszkowski to be good fun to play.

Mosolov's suite "Turkemenian Nights" looks fun to play since it has a lot of banging. Moszkowski octaves etude in fun to play.

To expand the question a bit more, I would also ask what pieces you guys find the most passionate?

Some re listings from my previous post:
Scriabin: Sonata No. 3 Op. 23, Vers La Flame Op. 72
Messiaen: Vingt Regards sur l'Enfant-Jésus - #6 Par Lui tout a été fait
Brahms: Op 116, 117, 118, 119 (there are some in there)

i was of course thinking about Prokofieff... i had a lot of fun playing a reduction of his 1st symphony, and some pieces of the op. 75... but funny things depends on what you have fun with...

Weber's Perpetuum Mobile.

Mendelssohn is always fun. Rondo Capriccioso, Spinning Song from SWW, G minor Piano Concerto.
Some of the Chopin Etudes are wonderful fun. Both G-flats and the F major from Op. 10.
Debussy: Danse, Pour le Piano (glissandi in the Prelude!!!), Feux de Artifice
Ginastera: Suite de Danzas Criollas (second movement has palm-slamming tone clusters and the last movement has time signature changes in almost every other measure, what could be more fun than that!)
