Title: Arm inflammation
Post by: jcabraham on June 22, 2009, 03:13:35 PM
I recently returned to the piano after a long absence. I've noticed that my right wrist and forearm feel sort of inflamed, which I assume is owing to recent practicing. Does this go away?

I recommend you see a doctor, any kind of inflammation is not a good thing.
Take ibprophen to lessen the  inflammation  until you see your doctor.  Absence of
piano playing should not cause any inflammation nor pain.  Think of another
activity that you did with your arms which could have caused the inflammation.
Anyhow, good luck and hope the inflammation will go away in time.

best wishes,

I would also see a doctor if this is happening after most practice sessions. At least you will have a better chance of knowing what you're dealing with.

Good luck.
