I borrowed a book of miscellaneous pieces from my school library, and it introduced me to a lot of his music (I had only heard the Fountains of Aqua Paola and the White Peacock before). The Clouds from the roman sketches is one of the most atmospheric and beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard - the ending gives me chills every time I hear it.
I'd love to play the set of Roman Sketches.

Thank you pies! Wonderful. The only thing I had ever heard of Griffes was the "White Peacock". He certainly is a composer to be reckoned with. I think in time, he will be more and more revisited. I want to look closer at this sonata.
