Shouldn't this be in "Anything but piano"?

It sucks, BTW.

It sucks

I have seen that and it is a great film.

Did not think it would get mentioned in this forum.

Works of genius are often misunderstood during their time.

I think you forgot to vote Thal.

Not that it has anything to do with the piano but my vote is 'They Might Be Giants'...
George C. Scott is my favorite actor...

Troll 2 is the most amazing thing to come out of the 1990's moviemaking. There is so much in the film that is just so god damn brilliant (allthough for entirely different reasons than what the filmmakers had in mind I might add). I could discuss this movie with someone for days

I still find the phrase shape on, "Oh my God!"  echoing through my mind when someone says it now.

I love just about every line of dialogue that Crrrredence Llleonore Gielgud, of ancient drrruidic orrrigins *does freaky things with eyes* utters in the movie

After reading all these posts I guess I'll try to see 'Troll 2'. You guys are making me feel that I'm missing something...

*Bob noticed the work of art has now finally been translated into other languages.*

Bob,
What work of art?

Not everyone understands high art the first time around.  It's ok.

It had to happen sometime.  I just became aware of a new greatest film...

Beware:  Children at Play

I believe this bump Troll 2 out of its No. 1 position, although I'll always have a special place for Troll 2 in my heart.  *Bob has not actually ever seen Troll 2 and has no plans to.*

The acting... You can tell it's natural talent. And they didn't waste it by being in movies before that nor after.  This was a singular work of art.

The music... Matches the acting.  Cutting age technology at the time.  Copied by countless others aftward.    Although I'm not sure who the composer is...  ::)  Is that a vintage Casio keyboard I hear?  Or general MIDI?  Maybe even not actually performed by humans.

Special effects.... I'm just not sure how to describe it.  Unique with its special effects and editing.

That subtle delay *after* being shot is genius.  A lot of them have that talent too.

Shouldn't this be in the Anything but piano board?
sorry if i'm too rude.

It's a poll.  I wasn't sure where to put it.  *Bob wonders about the other "most difficult piece, greatest piece, worst piece, etc." polls now too, for their proper location.*

I had to change my vote from Troll 2.

It's art.  But it is true that it's not piano so... I'm not sure.

As a film concerning the piano that would have to be 'The Pianist'...

The pianist is an excellent film! another one is 'The piano'  which michael Nyman composed music for.

Part of the genius of Troll 2 and Children is the implied piano in the score.

The music is so stereotypical of Europe.

"Beware:  Children at Play"
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112492/

Note that many of the actors devoted their entire acting existing to just this one film, or to only a handful of films in some cases.  They poured their genius into this one work.  *Bob thinks many were probably severely weakened after the strain of this film.*

It's good they left it untouched and didn't try to blemish it with a sequel.

There's something to be said about finding entertainment in gore, killing and alike but I'm just not quite sure what that is...
