Title: Gas prices $$$$$
Post by: thinkgreenlovepiano on May 07, 2011, 11:01:43 PM
So I was talking on the phone with a few friends from the States saying how the gas prices are really high, like $4/ gallon but I on my way home from the community centre today we filled up the tank... We spent like $80!
The price was $1.32/ L, which is like over $5 per gallon  :o

So I'm just wondering, where do you live and how much are your gas prices?

In Australia - about a week a go, I spent $1.52 per litre filling up my tank. Didn't have much of a choice.

didn't you know, that everything in the US is cheap? And the earn a lot more too.

Like avg wage for engineers right out of school in canada is like 40k, but 80k in the US.

I don't know anyone earning 80 grand a year.  Even with education it seems like people end up in 30 grand a year for job.  Maybe 80 grand if they're there a long time.  Those aren't engineers though either.  I never believe the stats on what entry level salaries are.  At least in my area they're never that.

Gas prices in my area are expensive.

Sound like a trip to England is in order to get those cheaper gas prices.

Here in the US state of North Carolina gas is about $3.86 per gallon.  This is much higher than what we're used to paying, but I guess compared to other places it's not too bad.
