What is the difference from the manufactured German Steinway B and the American manufactured Steinway B?
Thanks.

The differences I can think of:
Steinways made in Hamburg use Renner-made action and hammers.
Steinways made in New York use NY Steinway's own action and hammers.
Also this styling difference on the wood panels on both sides of the keyboard:

Axtremus, did you forget to tell him it also sounds different. "The most important part" of a piano.

american steinways are usually stiffer and feel a lot worse, right? I mean, I can only vouch for the ones Ive played on, and that would be 1 american, 1 deutsche.

Good point. But to be very honest, I don't think I've spent enough time playing on and listening closely to Hamburg Steinways life, and I am not that confident that I can tell a Hamdburg Steinway apart from a New York Steinway by sound alone. :(
