Hello.
How do you think one can achive a good mezzo voce in a big hall? And I don't mean "So that everybody could hear, you should play it really loud!!!"-kind of thing.
To play so that a whole hall can hear isn't very difficult. The difficulty is to make the one in the back to hear the same thing as the ones in front - that it's not either super quiet in the back, nor super loud in the front.
I was thinking that it's maybe about the balance. If it's written "cantabile", you obviously put very much energy in the melody. But when it says mezzo or sotto voce, you can't do that, cause then it's not sotto or mezzo voce. And if you balance too little, it wont be clear...
Any ideas?
