Title: I know this isn't piano repertoire, but...

Have any of you ever listened to Gorecki's third symphony?  I am right now-it's absolutely beautiful.

Also, earlier I was listening to some Native American flute music-a very haunting experience.  I wondered if there was a way to create a similar effect on the piano.

I have, its quite nice. Amazing how long he can prolong the strings beginning in the first movement. Of course the sining. I think Gorecki used words written by jewish people/children in some concentration camp. At least something similar like that, I can't remember.

I also like the fact that he doesn't use much brass :)

I am afraid non-western music doesn't work very well on keys.
