Post by: dobby10 on May 19, 2012, 05:57:04 PM

I have been playing and studying piano for 4 years already. Would you please leave the comment for my videos please in order to improve and make it better. Thanks so much

ps. I'm an amateur. I'm not the one who study the music as major and i just feel happy every time when i do play classic and I'm now trying to learn more about the classic.

First, please put on a shirt. You obviously enjoy this piece and you have the notes memorized. Your tempo was a bit erratic and you seemed somewhat tense. I'd suggest playing the whole thing more slowly for a good while and try a few times with a metronome. Take a little breath at the cadences, just a micro-moment's delay; that may help reduce the tense, rushed feeling. Keep at it. It's a good start.

I'm sure its pretty hot/humid in his country so I can understand the attire :)

This invention has some quite difficult fingering which makes it more challenging than it actually sounds. brogers hit on your tempo which I think you need to pay attention to, perhaps you can play the piece a little slower so you can even everything out then bring it back up to speed. A general interpretation of Bach when we have Quavers vs Semiquavers is to make the quavers more staccato and the semiquavers more legato, I think you could overdo some of the quavers a little more with better effect.
