Title: Would it be weird for me to take an ABRSM exam

As a full grown adult? It seems like it's mostly for kids. This is in the US by the way.

If you live in the UK and watch TV you'll know the guy.  He's fairly famous as an actor and writer.

I'm 40 and I'm preparing for it. whats wrong with being old?
I feel like the guy in the article. I like classical music more than any other type (with exception probably of the Beatles and some latin american). I'm not trying to be a snob, just stating what my ears enjoy. Never had any fun in disco clubs, when I went clubbing with my friends it was just for the company, never for the irritating mind dumb *** noise.

Great article.  I am 45 and doing RCM exam next year.  There are lots of adults who take exams for various reasons, all of them valid.
