Title: All-State Key?
Post by: kazoodle on September 12, 2012, 05:25:02 AM
Let me start this off by saying I'm about as good at playing the piano as I am at growing wings. Not good at all.  ::) I can find notes, but reading the treble and bass clef at the same time is a pain.

Anyways, I *am* a vocalist and a violinist though, so I can read sheet music. I have to make an audition tape for the All-State choir here (Alaska) and cannot figure out what key to play on my recording. For Tenor II it says the Key of C, and above all the parts it says to remember to begin on the fifth, and I have no idea what that means.

Any help for a lonely vocalist among all you ivory ticklers?  ;D

hmm send a personal message to "m1469" she seems like she would be the one most likely to know/be able to help, that way you ensure she 'reads it' she might not see this so a PM might get a response faster

Arighty, I'll send her a message latter, but I *think* I might have figured it out, I think it's the G right below middle C.  :)
