I believe this is one of the most brilliant improvisations I have ever seen.

Yes, it's brilliant... But most classical pianists won't hear that... all they will hear is "noodling", which is a real shame seeing as the ability to compose in real time is dismissed as being untamed/unstructured. I don't understand why music needs a structure, other than to satisfy our own musical shortcomings. People love boxes and they've managed to put a language with infinite complexity and definition, into various categories (classical, jazz , rock etc). Why?? Human Nature. Her ability to manipulate and compose around that theme, will elude and dumbfound most "classical" musicians. Take away their music and ask them to play what they feel, most will stare at you blankly... as they re so used to expressing themselves through the music of someone else's imagination. Why improvisation is not a focal point in musical studies today is beyond me.
