This message is addressed to subscribers from the U.K. which is where I live.
I own a 1903 Erard Grand on which I should like some restoration work doing.
Can anyone tell me of any antique piano restorers in the U.K.with experience and expertise specifically in Erards ?
I shall be grateful for any useful information.

Why not ask Andrew Lancaster of Music Room Antiques?
He specializes in the restoration of such instruments
and he is well known for his faithful reliable restoration.
If by any chance he cannot help you, he could perhaps
recommend someone to put you into the right direction.
I am looking forward to listening to the sound of an Erard Grand!
Best wishes and good luck from Kristina.

Thank you, Kristina, for your suggestion. Having visited Andrew's website I see that his specialism is 18th/19th century square pianos, but as you say, he might be able to 'point me in the right direction' if he is unable to help me directly, so I shall email him.
Best wishes.

Regulation of these period pieces from France should not be a problem but the choices for strings are limited if you do not want excessive IH.
The Firmini wire is no longer made but Stephen Paulello has some wire that is suitable.
I would recommend that you post this question on Barrie Heaton’s forum called Pianoworld UK.
