Seeing your post reminded me of my firm resolution (so far still in the state of a typical New Year's resolution ;) ) to play more of the French Clavicenists. It is such wonderful music that works so well on the modern piano. To your list of inspirations definitely add the wonderful Marcelle Meyer (->Youtube).

So thanks for sharing your recording! I think it is very nice sensitive playing. I would try to play the constantly recurring upward jump (which makes a main motif of this piece) with a bit deliberate "stubbornness" in some places, but that's just a matter of personal perferences of course.

Btw, I'm still not sure what (affordable, yet hopefully reliable) edition to use for Rameau. Did you get something from IMSLP or newer copyrighted edition?

Thank you both! Pianovirus-I think I know what you mean with the stubbornness-sometimes I play it a bit slower, with more of a certain relish on the ornaments. I agree, French Baroque transfers beautifully to the modern piano! I play several of the different French Clavicenists and lots of course more Rameau. I'll upload more soon. I'd appreciate your comments on the Couperin as well!
