Wow. Well played! Great use of dynamics, phrasing in the left hand, and keeping the shimmer of the thirds just that. Bravo.

Really enjoyed this monster piece. Gvans mentioned it but i was also impressed with the dynamic control. Sounded great :)

Curious to know, how long did it take you to master it?

Congrats on a great recording.

Thanks. This etude is extremely challenging. Simpler than most of the others to learn, but one of the absolute hardest to 'master'. Like many of the Chopin Etudes in which the RH part appears to be the main challenge at first glance, there are actually a vast range of subtle difficulties in the LH as well...

Nice, haven't listened to that etude for a while, was good to heair it again.

You did a nice work with it, go for more!!.

I'm curious with some things tho:

How did you record it(I mean if you mic and an acoustic piano or an electronic)? and...
Have you done other Chopin Etudes?

I have recorded both the op. 10 and 25 Etudes. About half of them should be up on my soundcloud page. The others are in post-production still. Please, do listen to them all.

The Etudes were recorded using the industry standard equipment-a Steinway D and a set of $15,000 condenser mics. My audio guy is a real sweetie who just happens to be at the top of his field. The acoustics in the room we had the sessions in were not ideal (low ceilings), so it's not quite good enough sound-wise for audiophile magazine.... but if you listen on a good set of speakers, you'll find the sound quite satisfactory.

So the sound-quality should be just about as good as anyone's Chopin Etudes.

As for the quality of the actual interpretations.... y'all can decide for yourselves!
