I've been noticing something rather annoying lately, and that's that for most composers, I can't seem to find all of their works from one publisher. Generally, I enjoy having a certain composer's works all in similar looking books from the same publisher as it makes them easier to find, and easier to read (for whatever reason, I find it distracting going from reading a work by a composer in one format to a different work from the same composer in a different format). However, I'm often left in a position where I can't find all the works of a composer under one publisher. Even publishers that "specialize" in a certain composer don't always seem to have all their works available. Even though Durand publishes almost all of Debussy's works, I can't find his Ballade from them in any of their publications except their complete Debussy piano works collection in 9 volumes, each of which is over $100.
Why is this? I understand it takes work to edit these things, but it'd be so much nicer if, ya know, you could actually find all of a composer's works under the same publisher.

I've got a (more or less, it happens) complete set of Percy Grainger piano works from the same publisher (Schott), but they are in two quite different formats.
I actually quite like a bit of variety - it makes my shelves more colourful. ;D
