I RARELY post in the audition room haha! Here's a recording of the second and third movements of the Op 57. I played in a recital a little while ago the Op 57 along with some Bach, Debussy, Brahms and Rachmaninoff; it's not a flawless recording (as you'll hear!), there's a nasty memory slip in the second movement lol, and at the end of the third movement, the high "C" sticks, so you'll hear that note just absent from the climactic ending...I became slightly frantic there, so it gets a little sloppy; this was a huge bummer for me!
But anyways, the quality is nicer than when I recorded at my house haha.
;) out of the program, this piece was the most nightmarish for me, from the trills and passagework in the first movement, to the perpetual motion of the third. I had played the Pathetique and the Op 78 before, so I still have a LOT of Sonatas to sink my teeth into. I'll try getting some of the other pieces from the recital up, but for now, enjoy!

Did you not play the first movement? Or, if you did, why did you not choose to include it?
I enjoyed the playing, although I am not very familiar with the piece, nor do I particularly like Beethoven, so hopefully others will comment here. I'm surprised nobody has already--usually recordings by active members here get quite a few comments.
Good work! I look forward to seeing the rest of the recital here--what were the pieces you played by the other composers?

I have the recording of the first movement, but I'm a bit of a chicken to post it hehe... some weird business happened in that one, so maybe I'll try to record it again.
I played this for the recital:
Bach - Partita in Bb
Beethoven - Appassionata
Debussy - l'Isle Joyeuse
Brahms - Op.119
Rachmaninoff - Preludes in D major, b minor, Bb major
