Title: Burn and Hearts Without Chains by Ellie Goulding
Post by: josycal on September 05, 2013, 04:19:19 PM
I usually play classical, but sometimes I take a break to play stuff like this.  Just thought I'd mention I have a blog about my classical world at JosiahWilkinson.com

I am currently preparing a program for my coming recital tour that will include Chopin Ballade (4), Rachmaninoff Suite in D minor, Liszt Un Sospiro and Widmung, several Brahms Hungarian Dances, and selections by Ravel, Debussy, and Rachmaninoff.

The song wasn't to my taste. Looks like you play well though, have a fabulous piano, and are quite good with video editing!

We'd love to see some videos of your classical stuff. Do you write your own music?

Very fine rendition of the 1st mvnt of Chopin op. 35 Sonata!

You have an excellent technique! I found the playing consistently musical and in good taste.

Also nice crisp, bold, well-judged reading of the Rachmaninoff G minor Prelude. Particularly lovely middle section! You have a real gift for pacing the energy and showing the overall structure!

Myself I do play music of other genres. I study jazz a wee bit and play rock and roll. I'd like to become more proficient with jazz, blues, and swing.
