only much more harder if you have not yet mastered the Butterfinger 'not-white' key one.

The Sorabji Transsexual Etudes are the most difficult songs. My friend plays all of them, do you think she can audition for a music college yet?

You guys are impossible.  I think he was probably serious about his balaika question.  Well, maybe he deserved this...

I think what everyone is trying to get at is that you need to play Beethoven's Pathetic song before you play Balalaika.  Remember that you should play all three sonatas in the Pathetic movement.  Don't forget to say it is in Sea Minor in your program notes.

I've played the first part of Moonshine Sonata ....

Here in the US, the Moonshine Sonata  is the hardest piece ever written for Banjo. dont know if there is a transcription for the Balalaika but I am sure someone must have tried.

It's even harder than the Hungarian Raspberries!
But is it as hard as the right offspring?

Best,

Alistair

I apologise for my poor English (I am in China). Thank you for patience.
I found acrobat of the Islamey from a webzone. I have a question about my fingers. Please see what is uploaded.
Logic is that forte should be played with thumb because my thumb is powerful. Quieter version is to be played with 5th finger since this is a weak hand part. But this I cannot play with speed.
Is this a good finger? Thank you.

Seems fine to me.

Is this a good finger? Thank you.

If your fingers are THAT short, maybe it's better to play bar rock music, instead of getting into romantic affairs.

By rock music do you mean 'the maple leaf rock' of janis joplin?

Rachmaninoff's Vindication on a Thawed Panini is very hard.  It is also good practice for Balalaika.

Never heard of this one; I know of the same composer's Variegation on a Thieved Panini, though.

Best,

Alistair

How hard is  an oriental fantasia' by Islamey?

Assuming that you mean the work by Mily Alexeyevich Balakirev: it's only available either as loose sheets or in paperback bundles; I have never seen any leather-bound or hardcover versions.

Thank you for clarifying,  swagmaster420x. I believe that in English, they call such a digital document a "soft copy". It becomes "hard" as soon as it gets printed out.

Well, the oriental fantasies that Islamey wrote are not very difficult, generally speaking, excepth the forth one... That's a really difficult, bitchy piece to play  :P
