Title: New piano, sticky key
Post by: mattimias on April 16, 2014, 02:09:08 PM
Hey there! Encountered a bit of a problem (and sadly, no solution yet) while I was playing earlier today. Looked at the key action mechanism and saw this:

I can play that particular key just fine, but this always happens if I go beyond mezzoforte (it shoots up slightly to the left and gets stuck).

I'm wary of fiddling too much, so any help?

Well, the picture -- if there was one -- didn't show up.  However, if this is a new piano as your heading suggests, this should be something which the dealer's tech. should be asked to correct.  You shouldn't have to fix something like that on a new piano!

Darn, didn't notice that. Here's a link!

Not so good, that.  What I said before: if this is a new piano, I would say that it's up to the dealer to get that fixed.
