One more set?!?! Uuugh... It's these and the Beethoven sonatas that are under a current virus. They never stop to get recorded, yet again.

It's a nice enough recording, and in places very good indeed. But as pianoman53 alludes to, do I need another set?
Also, "all" may be true of the actual CD, but it isn't for the YT clip, and the selection seems odd.

I would have to have a bloody good reason to listen to those Etudes again.

I must admit I'm a bit jaded too regarding them. Still, it remains a significant achievement to put them all to disc. Slightly odd selection, as mentioned above - I did really quite like 25/1 though.

I must admit this is A LOT better than what I had expected when I first read the title, but do we really need another russian pianist recording Chopin Etudes, or any part of the standart repertoire at all? I wonder who listens to these when whe have recordings of Pollini, Arrau, Cziffra, Cortot... Why not record lesser known works and produce something that is at least interesting?
