Just wondering what other people do when the weather gets bad. Basically, where can you job indoors? And for free. I'm not paying anyone to let me run around in their building.
I've already got a cheap treadmill and exercise bike.
I've got a few ideas, like walking around a mall. But that's still just walking.
And a treadmill or exercise bike still isn't quite the same as actual jogging.
Haha... I just thought of another place. Get to work early or stay really late.... Then jog up and down halls. That could work and you'd look good for being there so early or late. ::) As long as there aren't security cameras... ::)

Piano playing? Curl up with a good book/movie/etc. ?

Job? ::)

Have you tried craigslist? there are heaps of jobs on offer, regardless of the weather.

Typo. Fixed.
Jog, not job.

Are you near a University or a big sports and recreation center? Because they usually have indoor tracks, typically 200 meters, exactly for this purpose. --s.

Bob, aren't you getting a bit too obsessed with exercising?
Why not go to a high public building with lots of stairs :)

I was also thinking stairs.
It will be easier to stay in shape now rather than 10-20 years from now. *Bob says as he eats.* The lazy way is to exercise now instead of a in a few decades. I figured a few things out with it that stopped me from exercising more ten years ago.
I found a few places, but they want money. I don't care about their equipment. I just want a big, open space. And I don't want to pay for that.

I hope you know that exercising will not keep you from gaining if you just keep eating a lot of junk...you'd need to run all day to get rid of a pizzas and burgers :)

I'd already got rid of that stuff. If you lose weight though, you start looking boney, like a skeleton. Not a great look.
I don't think I've had pizza for... a long time. A hamburger sometime in the spring... or last year.
That's the easier/lazy way -- Don't eat it, don't have to lose fat it might accumulate. Except there's craving for fat or something that creeps in. Using more olive oil gets rid of the I've found. Then you can burn an ounce of willpower to avoid a hamburger and eat more olive oil later. Fat craving is gone that way.

Part of the point is to increase my heart rate and give that a work out. Food doesn't do much for that.
And I don't buy café lattes or subscribe to cable tv, etc. like articles will mention.

Just jog in the rain, it's fun! Wear a super light rain coat with a hood if you're bothered. If it's cold you'll heat up pretty soon anyway.
