Hello sorry to ask so many question but i am an older adult. I am taking lessons at guitar center but not sure if they are moving in the right direction due to the fact i think the longer you need lessons the more is spent. Maybe wrong not sure how to judge. But anyway i would like to get the learning books from Alfred but there seems to be a ton of them.? Any suggestions Maybe Learning for Adults? Thanks

I started with Alfred's Adult Piano Adventures, and it worked for me!

What is your primary genre of music you wish to play?
If it's classical, taking lessons at Guitar center probably wouldn't be a good idea, even if they're teaching you "classical"- if a classical teacher is worth taking from, chances are they won't teach out of a guitar center.

Hi, the Alfreds All in One books are good for a beginner. There is an arrangement of The Entertainer in there which sounds really good and is not too difficult when you get to that particular page. The book would probably last you year and is great for reviewing. Hope that helps. Shey
