Title: Nocturne no. 12 - Original composition
Post by: francoisfj on October 18, 2015, 09:06:57 AM
Hello, this is a nocturnes I just finished. I'm quite happy about it, it's played mostly by me, except for the second doppio moviemento section which is quite hard and is played by midi
I'd be happy to know what you think

Very nice. I love the almost drifting sort of tonalities.
Imitation of the romantic/impressionistic style done very well. Bravo!

Btw I'm thinking of putting it in a composition competition, is it good enough??

If you think it's the best representation of your compositional style, go for it; if it were me, though, I'd be more inclined to put in a unique work (which is to say, one that does not follow a rigid "character form" like a waltz, nocturne, prelude, et. al do). Up to you, though.
